|Wisconsin Logging Trucks Now Can Carry 98,000 Lbs on Frozen Roads|
Last week the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced the expansion of the state's so-called 'frozen road' law to permit heavier loads for trucks carrying forest products, among other things. In a nutshell, the new law applies once the ground under pavement is frozen down at least 18 inches and allows trucks with five or more axles, carrying logs, to weigh up to 98,000 gross pounds. |
